چکیده
This work aims to study cultivable actinobacterial isolated from the rhizosphere soil of Artemisia herba-alba Asso; an important component Mediterranean dry steppe flora. The isolates functional attributes with respect antifungal, in vitro growth-promotion properties and enzymatic capacities, were studied. A total eleven strains identified as Streptomyces species by 16S rRNA gene sequencing. positive for production almost all hydrolytic enzymes tested, while majority had ACC deaminase activity (6 strains) exhibited ammonia (7 strains), siderophores (9 phosphate solubilization strains). Two out named sp. BKS30 BKS40 showed antifungal activities. One promising strain that was in-depth characterized morphologically biochemically further tested its filtrate butanolic extract against nine target-fungi well antioxidant DPPH ABST tests. obtained results demonstrate Asso have potential different biological activities including particularly BKS30.

Terpenes from Artemisia herba-alba.
Chromatographic investigation of the methylene chloride/methanol extract of the aerial parts of Artemisia herba-alba afforded a new monoterpene dimer, in addition to a known monoterpene and three known sesquiterpene lactones. The structures of the compounds were determined by comprehensive NMR analyses, including DEPT, COSY, HMQC, HMBC, and HRMS.
متن کاملAntibacterial and Antioxidant Activities of Essential Oils from Artemisia herba-alba Asso., Pelargonium capitatum × radens and Laurus nobilis L.
Essential oils are natural antimicrobials that have the potential to provide a safer alternative to synthetic antimicrobials currently used in the food industry. Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the antimicrobial and antioxidant activities of essential oils from white wormwood, rose-scented geranium and bay laurel against Salmonella typhimurium and Escherichia coli O157:H7 on fr...
متن کاملRelaxant Effect of Essential Oil of Artemisia herba-alba Asso. on Rodent Jejunum Contractions
Artemisia herba-alba Asso. is a shrub commonly encountered in Morocco. It is used in traditional medicine for treating intestinal disorders. The essential oil extracted from the plant's aerial parts reversibly relaxed the spontaneous tonus of the rabbit jejunum in a reversible concentration dependent manner with an IC(50) value of 97.33 ± 2.59 ng/ml and reversed the tonic contraction of rat jej...
متن کاملEssential oil composition of Artemisia herba-alba from southern Tunisia.
The composition of the essential oil hydrodistilled from the aerial parts of 18 individual Artemisia herba-alba Asso. plants collected in southern Tunisia was determined by GC and GCMS analysis. The oil yield varied between 0.68% v/w and 1.93% v/w. One hundred components were identified, 21 of of which are reported for the first time in Artemisia herba-alba oil. The oil contained 10 components ...
متن کاملArtemisia herba-alba Asso relaxes the rat aorta through activation of NO/cGMP pathway and K(ATP) channels.
Artemisia herba-alba Asso (Compositae) is used in oriental Morocco to treat diabetes and arterial hypertension. The present work evaluated the vasorelaxant effect of Artemisia herba-alba aqueous extract (AHAE) in isolated rat aorta and the mechanism underlying this effect. In endothelium-containing aorta preparations, AHAE (10(-3), 10(-2), 10(-1), 1 and 2 mg/mL) relaxed the contraction elicited...
